Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: Are you open due to the current Covid-19 pandemic?

A: Yes - we are currently open to key workers and anyone else requiring accommodation for any purpose that is as per current UK guidance allowed to travel and stay away from home for a specific reason or purpose. See Here "Accommodation Section" About a third down page To ensure your visit is within the UK GOV acceptable criteria.

If booking with us currently we will be required by law to ask you the purpose of your stay.

We will also need your details for the purposes of track and trace. Please see our Privacy Policy.

We have a copy of our Covid-19 risk assessment on site if you wish to see this.

Most importantly, with the UK Coronavirus situation easing and being a self contained apartment, we are also happy to accept all bookings from April 12th 2021.

Due to the uncertainty surrounding travel, we are offering a full refund if you book with us, and are you are unable to travel due to local or national enforced Government restrictions.

Please see our Cancellation policy for further details.

Q: What are you doing to protect guests from Covid-19?

A: By design our accommodation has no communal areas and is "self contained." Because of this our apartment lends itself to being much safer than any shared accommodation that contains communal areas during the UK Covid-19 pandemic.

On arrival entry is by contactless check in / same on check out, and if you wish nobody will bother you during your stay.

If you decide to order food or supplies from our shop whilst staying, this will be prepared with utmost care and left at your front door.

Our staff will use face masks during any payment exchanges. The apartment is deep cleaned by our professional cleaning company prior to your arrival paying particular attention to hard surfaces.

We will need your details for the purposes of track and trace. Please see our Privacy Policy.

We have a copy of our Covid-19 risk assessment on site if you wish to see this.

Q: Do you allow pets?

A: No - Some of our guests and staff have allergies, we therefore decided not to allow pets within our accommodation.

Q: What are the sleeping arrangements?

A: The apartment has a king size bed and is most suitable for either a single person or couple that share a bed.

We can also offer a travel cot for anyone travelling with a young infant. Our maximum occupancy is:

2 x Adults (King size bed) and 1 x Infant (Travel cot bed)

Q: Do I need a car? Do you have parking? Can you pick us up from bus or train station?

A: We would highly recommend a vehicle, in fact its almost a must... Our accommodation is on the sub-urban outskirts of the town of Yeovil and due to this transport is mostly required for all but the very closest amenities.

We have parking right next to the apartment for one of your vehicles however if you're bringing more than one vehicle street parking is available close by for the other vehicle. We do not currently offer bus or train station transfers however please see here for a good taxi company and here for car rentals.

Q: What facilities does the apartment have?

A: Rain shower and wet room, dressing table, wardrobe, full functioning kitchen, WiFi, Smart TV, fridge, kettle, oven & hobs, microwave, toaster, iron & ironing board, hair dryer, kitchen utensils and on site shop with the availability to purchase light meals, snacks, confectionery, beverages and some essentials.

Q: Do you provide linen and towels?

A: Yes - Your bed will be made up for you with clean, pressed sheets and a set of clean towels provided for you prior to first arrival.

It is worth noting that being a self catering accommodation where you are expected to look after yourself, we do not provide fresh towels for you daily like a hotel does.

We realise as an extra some people who stay longer with us will want their towels cleaned more regularly than weekly so have included a towel exchange/laundry service which can be purchased in our online shop, this can be used as many times as you require soiled towels replaced with fresh ones during your stay.

Please remember if staying over 1 week the apartment is deep cleaned, bed sheets changed and towels replaced free of charge every 7 days of your stay.

Q: Im staying for quite a few days - How often do you clean the apartment  and change bedding?

A: Please remember - The apartment is designed to be a fully independent self catering accommodation, you therefore are expected to look after it and yourself for the duration of your stay.

The apartment prior to your arrival is deep cleaned by our staff, if you are staying with us for more than 7 subsequent days the apartment will be deep cleaned, bed linen and towels replaced by our cleaning staff each and every subsequent 7 days after your initial arrival date.

If you wish to purchase more regular replacements of towels this is available on our onsite shop whenever you require for a small additional laundry charge.

Q: Do you supply breakfast?

A: Again being designed as a self catering accommodation we do not supply any breakfast as standard.

We do however again as an extra, supply a lovely continental breakfast pack which you can order in our shop. This will be delivered to you the night before so as you can store this in the apartment fridge, so its ready for you to enjoy as soon as you wake.

Please ensure you order this the day before you require it.

Q: Do you supply other food or Beverages?

A: We can on most occasions supply snack type food and beverages which can be purchased from our online shop.

This service is available during certain hours of the day and certain items can also be pre-ordered prior to your arrival.

Please remember we are a family run very small independent business so at times we will not be available to offer this service, if this is the case when you arrive there will be a note in your apartment letting you know that the shop service is currently not available.

Our full range of snacks drinks and other items are available to buy online or by cash or card in person.

Q: What is the earliest check in time?

A: Earliest check in is 2pm - Check in at midday might be possible if pre arranged with us, for a small extra charge of £5 per hour, as we have to re-arrange our cleaning staff.

Q: What is latest Check out?

A: Latest checkout is 10am - This may be extended to 12 noon for a small charge of £5 per hour if pre-arranged, as we have to re-arrange our cleaning staff. See Guest Terms

Q: What is the check in / check out process?

A: The full process is contained within your booking confirmation email, and details are also described in our arrival guide page. If you have any problems during this process, please see our contact details here

Q: What options do I have for eating in / eating out?

A: Lots...

We can supply basic meals such as take away style pizza, sandwiches, baked potato and other drinks and confectionery snacks. Please visit our online shop or scan the QR code in your room to get started.

Alternatively there is a 24 hr M&S shop attached to a petrol station within very short walking distance - they sell a variety of essentials, food and drink. Also within walking distance is the Yeovil Court bar & restaurant, which most of the time you can walk in and have a very nice sit down meal or a drink (pre booking still recommended). Walk to the end of Wyvern close and turn left. You will see both the hotel and garage after about a 100m or a 2 minute walk.

Palmer's fish and chip shop is a great local sit in or take away fish and chip shop. There are also countless, very good local & chain restaurants in town and some lovely country pubs in surrounding small villages, see here (always a good idea to pre-book.) If you fancy a takeaway night in there are around 20+ takeaways who deliver to your door using the Just Eat App or website.

Asda or Morrison's are the closest supermarket to us if you wish to get supplies in to cook for yourself.

Q: Do you supply any toiletries?

A: We supply luxury Cole and Lewis toiletries free for your use during your stay, these include shampoo, shower gel, hand wash and hand & body lotion. Forgotten something else? Certain essential toiletries are also available in our online shop.

Q: Can you supply a laundry service?

A: No unfortunately we do not currently supply a laundry service for your personal clothing items. This is something we may look at in the future. If you would like to see this please add this into the feedback forms so as we can gauge interest. There is a laundry service available in town if required.

Q: How do I contact you during our stay?

A: The best way is to phone the mobile: 07478741119 Beth is your main host and will endeavour to answer any queries, questions or deal with any problems you may have.

If there is no answer on the mobile, please leave a voice message. Alternatively use the email address

Please note that response times can be a little slower via email.

Finally please give the main property front door a knock where most of the time Beth or Ian will be around to help you.

If you have any maintenance related issues - Ian (Beth's husband) will usually be there to repair and fix any faults.

Q: What is there to do in the area?

A: Yeovil is a great starting point to go in many different directions of travel dependant on what you would like to do. Check out our nearby attractions page for some of our suggestions (Distance and times detailed). Its also worth checking the internet to see what's not only on in Somerset, but Devon and Dorset too as we are close to both counties. There are various local festivals, events and days out you can have throughout the year. Far too many to effectively list them all here. The closest tourist information to visit for even more ideas is here

Q: Is there a curfew?

A: No - You are free to come and go as you wish. All we ask is you respect the neighbouring properties and you keep your noise down as you are coming and going. Especially if late at night or early morning.
