Q: Do you allow pets?
A: No - Some of our guests and staff have allergies; therefore, we have decided not to allow pets within our accommodation in Yeovil.
Q: What are the sleeping arrangements?
A: The apartment has a king size bed and is most suitable for either a single person or couple that share a bed.
Our maximum occupancy is:
2 x Adults (King size bed)
Q: Do I need a car? Do you have parking? Can you pick us up from bus or train station?
A: We would highly recommend a vehicle to get the most out of your time when you visit Somerset—it is almost a must. Our accommodation in Yeovil is on the suburban outskirts of town, so transport is required for all but the very closest amenities.
We have parking right next to the apartment for one vehicle. If you are bringing more than one vehicle, street parking is available close by. We do not currently offer transfers; however, please see here for a good taxi company and here for car rentals.
Q: What facilities does the apartment have?
A: We offer everything you need for a comfortable stay in our self-catering accommodation in Yeovil, including a rain shower and wet room, dressing table, wardrobe, and a fully functioning kitchen. Facilities include WiFi, Smart TV, fridge, kettle, oven & hobs, microwave, toaster, iron & ironing board, hairdryer, and kitchen utensils.
Q: Do you provide linen and towels?
A. Yes - Your bed will be made up for you with clean, pressed sheets, and a set of clean towels are provided prior to your arrival.
It is worth noting that as self-catering accommodation in Yeovil (where you are expected to look after yourself), we do not provide fresh towels daily like a hotel does.
We realise that guests who stay longer may want their towels cleaned more regularly than weekly, so we offer an optional towel exchange/laundry service. This is an extra charge of £5; please message or phone during your stay if you would like to use this service.
Please remember: if staying over 1 week, the apartment is deep cleaned, bed sheets changed, and towels replaced free of charge every 7 days of your stay.
Q: Im staying for quite a few days - How often do you clean the apartment and change bedding?
A: Please remember - As a fully independent self-catering accommodation in Yeovil property, you are expected to look after the apartment and yourself for the duration of your stay.
Prior to your arrival, the apartment is deep cleaned by our staff to ensure it is perfect for your visit to Somerset.
If you are staying with us for more than 7 days, the apartment will be cleaned, and bed linen and towels replaced by our cleaning staff free of charge every 7 days.
Q: What is the earliest check in time?
A: The standard check-in time for our accommodation in Yeovil is 3:00 pm.
An earlier check-in from midday might be possible if pre-arranged with us. This incurs a small extra charge of £5 per hour, as we have to re-arrange our cleaning staff to prioritise your apartment.
Q: What is latest Check out?
A: Latest checkout is 10:00 am.
This may be extended to 12 noon for a charge of £20 if pre-arranged, allowing you a relaxed start before you leave your self-catering accommodation in Yeovil. Please see our Guest Terms for full details.
Q: What is the check in / check out process?
A: We want to make your arrival as smooth as possible so you can start enjoying your visit to Somerset immediately. The full process is contained within your booking confirmation email, and details are also described on our arrival guide page. If you have any problems during this process, please see our contact details here.
Q: What options do I have for eating in / eating out?
A: There are countless, very good local and chain restaurants in town and some lovely country pubs in surrounding small villages—see here (it is always a good idea to pre-book).
If you fancy a takeaway night at your accommodation in Yeovil, there are around 20+ takeaways that deliver to your door using the Just Eat App or website. Palmers is a very good local sit-in or take-away fish and chip shop.
Asda or Morrisons are the closest supermarkets if you wish to get supplies to cook for yourself. Alternatively, there is a 24hr M&S shop attached to a petrol station within very short walking distance—they sell a variety of essentials, food, and drink to keep you stocked up during your visit to Somerset.
Q: Do you supply any toiletries?
A: We supply luxury Cole & Lewis toiletries free for your use during your stay; these include shampoo, shower gel, hand wash, and hand & body lotion, adding a touch of indulgence to your self-catering accommodation in Yeovil experience.
Q: Can you supply a laundry service?
A: No unfortunately we do not currently supply a laundry service for your personal clothing items. This is something we may look at in the future. If you would like to see this please add this into the feedback forms so as we can gauge interest. There is a laundry service available in town if required.
Q: How do I contact you during our stay?
A: The best way is to phone the mobile: 07478 741119. Beth is your main host and will endeavour to answer any queries, questions, or deal with any problems you may have to ensure you enjoy your visit to Somerset.
If there is no answer on the mobile, please leave a voice message. Alternatively, use the email address beth@somerset-apartment.co.uk (please note that response times can be a little slower via email).
Finally, please give the main property front door a knock where most of the time Beth or Ian will be around to help you. If you have any maintenance-related issues at the apartment, Ian (Beth's husband) will usually be there to repair and fix any faults.
Q: What is there to do in the area?
A: Yeovil is a fantastic central hub for exploring the South West. Check out our places to go page for a curated list of the best things to do in Somerset (including distances and travel times).
It is also worth checking the internet to see what is on when you visit Somserset. Also check out Devon and Dorset too, as we are close to both county borders. There are various local festivals, events, and days out throughout the year—far too many to effectively list them all here! There are many Somerset visitor information centres which will be able to give you more ideas.
Q: Is there a curfew?
A: No - One of the main benefits of staying in our self-catering accommodation in Yeovil is that you are free to come and go as you wish. All we ask is that you respect the neighbouring properties and keep noise down when entering or leaving the accommodation in Yeovil, especially late at night or early in the morning.
Q: Is there an EV charger?
A: Yes, we have an electric vehicle charge point available at the apartment, making us a convenient choice for EV owners planning to visit Somerset. This service needs to be pre-booked and extra charges apply. (Please note: this service may not always be available, so please check with us prior to arrival).
