Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: Do you allow pets?

A: No - Some of our guests and staff have allergies, we therefore decided not to allow pets within our accommodation.

Q: What are the sleeping arrangements?

A: The apartment has a king size bed and is most suitable for either a single person or couple that share a bed.

Our maximum occupancy is:

2 x Adults (King size bed)

Q: Do I need a car? Do you have parking? Can you pick us up from bus or train station?

A: We would highly recommend a vehicle, in fact its almost a must... Our accommodation is on the sub-urban outskirts of the town of Yeovil and due to this transport is mostly required for all but the very closest amenities.

We have parking right next to the apartment for one of your vehicles however if you're bringing more than one vehicle street parking is available close by for the other vehicle. We do not currently offer bus or train station transfers however please see here for a good taxi company and here for car rentals.

Q: What facilities does the apartment have?

A: Rain shower and wet room, dressing table, wardrobe, full functioning kitchen, WiFi, Smart TV, fridge, kettle, oven & hobs, microwave, toaster, iron & ironing board, hair dryer, kitchen utensils and on site shop with the availability to purchase light meals, snacks, confectionery, beverages and some essentials.

Q: Do you provide linen and towels?

A: Yes - Your bed will be made up for you with clean, pressed sheets and a set of clean towels provided for you prior to first arrival.

It is worth noting that being a self catering accommodation where you are expected to look after yourself, we do not provide fresh towels for you daily like a hotel does.

We realise as an extra some people who stay longer with us will want their towels cleaned more regularly than weekly so we have a towel exchange/laundry service. This is an extra charge of £5, please message or phone during your stay if you would like to use this service.

Please remember if staying over 1 week the apartment is deep cleaned, bed sheets changed and towels replaced free of charge every 7 days of your stay.

Q: Im staying for quite a few days - How often do you clean the apartment  and change bedding?

A: Please remember - The apartment is designed to be a fully independent self catering accommodation, you therefore are expected to look after it and yourself for the duration of your stay.

The apartment prior to your arrival is deep cleaned by our staff, if you are staying with us for more than 7 subsequent days the apartment will be deep cleaned, bed linen and towels replaced by our cleaning staff each and every subsequent 7 days after your initial arrival date.

If you wish to purchase more regular replacements of towels this is available on our onsite shop whenever you require for a small additional laundry charge.

Q: What is the earliest check in time?

A: Earliest check in is 3pm - Check in at midday might be possible if pre arranged with us, for a small extra charge of £5 per hour, as we have to re-arrange our cleaning staff.

Q: What is latest Check out?

A: Latest checkout is 10am - This may be extended to 12 noon for a small charge of £15 if pre-arranged, as we have to re-arrange our cleaning staff. See Guest Terms

Q: What is the check in / check out process?

A: The full process is contained within your booking confirmation email, and details are also described in our arrival guide page. If you have any problems during this process, please see our contact details here

Q: What options do I have for eating in / eating out?

A: There are countless, very good local & chain restaurants in town and some lovely country pubs in surrounding small villages, see here (always a good idea to pre-book.) If you fancy a takeaway night in there are around 20+ takeaways who deliver to your door using the Just Eat App or website. Palmer's is a very good local sit in or take away fish and chip shop.

Asda or Morrison's are the closest supermarkets to us if you wish to get supplies in to cook for yourself.

Alternatively there is a 24 hr M&S shop attached to a petrol station within very short walking distance - they sell a variety of essentials, food and drink. Also within walking distance is the Yeovil Court bar & restaurant, which most of the time you can walk in and have a very nice sit down meal or a drink (pre booking still recommended). Walk to the end of Wyvern close and turn left. You will see both the hotel and garage after about a 100m or a 2 minute walk.

Q: Do you supply any toiletries?

A: We supply luxury Cole and Lewis toiletries free for your use during your stay, these include shampoo, shower gel, hand wash and hand & body lotion.

Q: Can you supply a laundry service?

A: No unfortunately we do not currently supply a laundry service for your personal clothing items. This is something we may look at in the future. If you would like to see this please add this into the feedback forms so as we can gauge interest. There is a laundry service available in town if required.

Q: How do I contact you during our stay?

A: The best way is to phone the mobile: 07478741119 Beth is your main host and will endeavour to answer any queries, questions or deal with any problems you may have.

If there is no answer on the mobile, please leave a voice message. Alternatively use the email address beth@somerset-apartment.co.uk

Please note that response times can be a little slower via email.

Finally please give the main property front door a knock where most of the time Beth or Ian will be around to help you.

If you have any maintenance related issues - Ian (Beth's husband) will usually be there to repair and fix any faults.

Q: What is there to do in the area?

A: Yeovil is a great starting point to go in many different directions of travel dependant on what you would like to do. Check out our nearby attractions page for some of our suggestions (Distance and times detailed). Its also worth checking the internet to see what's not only on in Somerset, but Devon and Dorset too as we are close to both counties. There are various local festivals, events and days out you can have throughout the year. Far too many to effectively list them all here. The closest tourist information to visit for even more ideas is here

Q: Is there a curfew?

A: No - You are free to come and go as you wish. All we ask is you respect the neighbouring properties and you keep your noise down as you are coming and going. Especially if late at night or early morning.

Q: Is there an EV charger?

A: We have an Electric vehicle charge point available, this service needs to be pre booked and extra charges apply (Please note this service may not always be available).
